ENVIRONMENTALLY-CONSCIOUS ART
Since 2024, I have begun transitioning to creating art that is also conscious of the environment and the finite resources of our Earth.The burden of responsibility is far from tiny artists making their art exist in a physical form, but my conscious also doesn't allow me to completely sideline these concerns. We might not be able to do much, but we should still try to do whatever we can.Every choice I make and every third-party company I use is carefully chosen in a way that contributes to sustainability.Here is how I do it:
REDUCE - REUSE - RECYCLE
I implement these practices in my home studio and aim to only work with other companies that are committed to such practices themselves.All packaging I use in my home studio to pack and ship your art pieces is REUSED. I save all the packaging I receive and collect it from my friends and family to reuse it and save our Earth's resources.This means that sometimes I will use plastic packaging, but this is only because it's reused. Whenever I have to get new packaging supplies, they are always PLASTIC-FREE.Whenever working with other fulfillment companies, I use those that are either using exclusively PLASTIC-FREE PACKAGING, or those that are reducing their plastic use and transitioning to plastic-free.I'm also sorting waste in my home studio and sending to recycling whatever I can't reuse. I also aim to work with companies that are doing the same in their operations.
POWERED BY RENEWABLE ENERGY
My studio, where I illustrate and otherwise work and prepare physical orders myself, is mostly solar-powered. I say mostly because the building has just moved its heating to electric and we're waiting on reports to see if all heating and electrical use on a yearly basis is covered by the energy produced by our solar panels. I will move all my physical art to either responsibly sourced wood, recycled acrylic, or other recycled or sustainable materials.Here is a list of manufacturers I use with this in mind:PawPrint & Recycled Acrylic - they work with 100% pre- and post-consumer recycled plastics, Greencast recycled R-MMA acrylic, which is also made in Europe. By manufacturing with them, I make sure that my art is designed, raw materials sourced, items manufactured, and items packed and shipped to you, all within Europe. This lowers transport emissions significantlyPawPrint & Wood - their wood is sourced from nearby, well-managed forests and controlled PEFC- and FSC-certified suppliers. Wood is also biodegradable, so my art will not leave a permanent mark past its use to youPrints - my prints are printed on sustainably sourced paper or wood from sustainable forests, and are printed in water-based inksPlease note, my older pieces, which were produced before 2024, do not necessarily fit this requirement, but to reduce waste and usage of resources to produce them again, they're still in my catalogue while the stocks last.
LOCAL PRINTING AND FULFILLMENT
Whenever possible, I use Print on Demand, which will print and ship your art pieces from within your country. This not only saves time and import fees to you, but also saves on carbon emissions from transport.Prints - my prints are printed and fulfilled locally when ordered from the EU, UK, USA, Canada, and Australia. This massively reduces carbon emissionsStickers - my stickers are printed and fulfilled locally when ordered from the EU, and the UK. This massively reduces carbon emissions. They are also printed using inks with lower VOC content than normal solvent inks, which makes them significantly less hazardous
FINITE GROWTH
My only concern with the growth is to grow large enough so I can 100% support myself and my family with my art.My growth will be limited by time and resources available to one person (or two people tops).Infite growth is exploitative, immoral, and not sustainable on a planet with finite resources.

Unless an exclusive use contract is signed, I reserve the right to publicly post art on my social media and my website, as well as potentially use it for producing and selling prints and merchandise. I won't be producing nor selling prints or merch of original characters.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
GENERAL
I reserve the right to not accept a commission. I reserve the right to cancel the commission at any time due to changes in personal circumstances or client misconduct. In this case, a full cancellation policy applies.I feel most comfortable drawing humans and humanoid fantasy species in anime or semi-realistic style. Although not as common in my art, I also feel comfortable drawing creatures, animals, and plants in a semi-realistic or stylized style. Commission me something outside of my comfort zone at your own risk.I will not draw mechas, heavy pornography (pin-ups and some interactions between nude characters are fine), fetish art, hateful content towards any protected characteristics, minority, or community, art intended to be bought and sold as NFT, or be involved with anything related to Cryptocurrency, art intended to be used to train AI or promote AI art.
DUE DATES AND DELIVERY
I am only opening two commission slots every two weeks, and I am not opening new ones until I have finished them. My estimated delivery time is two weeks or less.
Delivery time will depend on our communication and revisions as well, with slower response time from the client's side and extra revisions prolonging delivery time. Time lost due to communication delays from the client does not count towards the due date.
Less time-intensive commissions like sketches or chibis can take less than a week with rapid communication and few revisions.
Elaborate paintings and character sheets have an estimated delivery time of two weeks from payment, but they might take longer depending on complexity. I will always inform you of the expected delivery time during job quotation, and will always inform you if delays happen during the job.
When you receive your quote, I will always inform you of the expected delivery time as well.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
I reserve full rights to the artwork and its distribution and use unless otherwise specified and unless exclusive rights have been purchased by the client. I reserve the right to display any commissioned artwork on any of my websites, or in my portfolio, and use it in marketing, publishing, and merchandise production.
All my artworks are protected by the Croatian Copyright and Related Rights Act and the EU Copyright Law
FAIR USE
The client must not claim the work as their own or edit/modify the work.
The client cannot use the commissioned art to train AI (artificial intelligence) or sell as NFTs.
Unless they have bought commercial rights, the client cannot use the commissioned artwork for profit, such as prints or merchandise, NFT/Blockchain etc.
Unless they have bought commercial rights, the client cannot use the commissioned artwork for promoting their business or personal brand, such as use for YouTube/Twitch/Podcast icons, thumbnails, video cards, etc.
The client may use the commissioned art on social media for promotional purposes with no profit attached, such as private profile pictures, backgrounds, and screensavers, and use in personal spaces, such as printing and merchandise for personal use alone. Personal use includes gifts.
The client may upload commissioned artwork on social media or to an online gallery, provided that I am also credited and the following link is always displayed with the commissioned work: linktr.ee/arishnea. If posting to social media that I have an account on, the client must also include my handle in credits (you can find a list of all social media accounts and handles on linktr.ee/arishnea).
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Commission can only be cancelled within 48h of payment and ONLY if I haven't started working on it. In this case, If cancellation is evoked, a contract cancellation fee of 10% percent of the total price applies.Otherwise, I do not accept cancellations and refunds. My services and artwork produced fall under tailor-made, personalised items so they are exempt from the EU's Consumer Contracts Regulations.I do not accept refunds unless they were initiated from my side.The commissioner will not be refunded if they are unsatisfied with the final result of the commission, however, depending on the case I will be willing to negotiate additional revisions.I make sure to include you in every stage of the process and the price covers many revisions because I want to make sure you're completely satisfied with your commission.If I am unable or unwilling to finish a commission for whatever reason, the commissioner can choose to be refunded in full or to receive a partially finished art piece with a partial refund.Partial refund is calculated in the following way:
- Artwork in the rough sketch phase: 80% refund
- Artwork in the clean sketch phase: 60% refund
- Artwork in the flat colors phase: 40% refund

Information I CollectTo communicate with you and to issue your payment receipt, I will need to collect some of your personal information, namely your email address, personal or business name, and address.Why I Need Your Information and How I Use ItI rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
As needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfill your order, settle disputes, or provide customer support;

Information Sharing and DisclosureInformation about my clients is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my business, such as payment institutions (namely PayPal Pte. Ltd. and Erste&Steiermärkische Bank d.d.) and in case of producing custom prints and merchandise, printing/production companies (namely Prodigi Group). I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal processes or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms, and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my clients, or others.
Data RetentionI retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.Your RightsIf you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

In case you order custom prints or other merchandise of your commissioned artwork the information necessary to deliver items to you will also be shared with the print-on-demand company and delivery companies they use. Your personal information is important to me and it will not be used for any other purpose, including getting sold to any third parties.
